Easy Way to Create Labels and Merge Info

Good morning!

Okay, we’re going to take a break from email for just a bit to bring you a tech tip on how to make easy labels for your classroom!  The video clip is a little bit longer than usual (about 12 minutes), but it will show you an easy way to make labels and merge info for a variety of uses that can be used all year long (which is a great time saver)!  Spoiler alert:  It’s one of my favorites ways to make labels, and I don’t use Word or Google to do it!

Wow!  I’m loving all the signature lines I’m seeing!!  You all ROCK!!!  J

Today, I’d like to share this awesome resource:  Larry Ferlazzo’s Best Resources On the 2016 Olympics in Rio.  Larry is a Sacramento teacher and started compiling this list about a year ago.  It’s amazing and a great resource to use with students as the Olympics approach!

Amazon Inspire Announced

For those who may be interested, Amazon announced the creation of Amazon Inspire during the 2016 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference.  Amazon says this will be an extremely user-friendly place where teachers can search thousands of free and paid resources, such as lesson plans, worksheets and rubrics (in the same vein as other sites, such as Teachers Pay Teachers) and is set to be released in late August or early September.  Those who are interested can request Early Access or read more about it in this New York Times article.
